Are you unhappy with your life? (Crossroads, end of an era? Facing redundancy, an empty nest or a divorce?) If you want to make changes and create a life you love (more), have a look and listen to this video. You’ll discover why reconnecting with your real self is of vital importance for it – and has nothing to do with self-indulgent navel-gazing. And you’ll learn a simple and practical tool to create a snapshot of who you really are.
I was recently interviewed by fellow coach Margaret Yates of Zen Divorce on the topic of reconnecting with yourself, because she felt this was vitally important particularly after a divorce, when we are challenged to re-build our life as a single person (at least temporarily). And particularly so, as we might have lost that connection with ourselves during a longer relationship or marriage.
And that is totally true.
But I know that divorce or the end of a relationship is only one of the crossroads in life after which it pays to ask yourself who you truly are, at this stage. Others can be the children flying the nest, or facing redundancy, or turning 40 or 50 or 60 and wondering whether that was it now, for us. Or simply coming to a point in our life where we’ve outgrown it. Where we clearly feel it doesn’t suit us anymore. Where we know we need something else, something different – yet we don’t know what that could be.
In all these situations, and before you embark on any changes, spend a little time to re-connect with who you truly are. So that your changes create a life that actually suit that – a life you will love and be happier with. The 30min video below speaks to the importance of this – and gives you a simple, practical way of doing it, too!
